The Story
Kevin and Cathy Nutsch received the shocking call while vacationing with their five daughters in Branson, Missouri: their home in Rose Hill had exploded.
It was a long drive back, and at last they arrived to see the terrible truth: a propane leak had been ignited by a random spark inside the home, and all was lost. Estimated damage: over $100,000.
But they also saw dozens of friends, neighbors and Red Cross volunteers already at work, cleaning, organizing, bringing the beginnings of a silver lining to the dark cloud that had descended on their lives.
That silver lining became even brighter when another call came: they were to be the recipients of an Extreme Makeover Home Edition.
